Valentino for Gap

Valentino per Gap

Designers are competing doing capsule collections for high street brands.
We're still waiting for Lanvin collection for H&M launch and here's Valentino doing a capsule collection for Gap.
No utfits. Only basic pieces matchable with what we already own in your wardrobe.
Valentino comes first:the 20th of November the capsule collection will be available at Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan.
The collection designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli will be launched with the opening of the first italian Gap Store. After that date it will be available even it Gap store in London and Dover Street Market and in Paris at Colette.

This autumn we're going to own a branded wardrobe for budget prices!
That's priceless :P

Images and things

In case it isn't obvious, I have a bit of a thing for masquerade masks. Whenever I'm out and about I'm always drawn to them, wanting to buy them yet knowing that they will serve no purpose to me. I really want someone to hold a masquerade ball, then invite me, so I can go all out. Such a mysterious and glamourous look. I loved the episode of Gossip Girl where they had the mask ball.

PS. These plaits are amazing! I wish my hair was this thick/long, though I suppose they probably are full of extensions...

There are no words

McQueen vs. Chanel

Guess who wins.

Thank god for Mcqueen.
I'm not a fan of slating every show and every outfit I come across, but Paris Fashion Week has been such a let down so far. I looked at the Chanel images on Style.com and, yeah. Not promising.

I won't go into detail.

Then Chloe? What happened to the beautiful shoes/beautfiul blouses/beautiful shorts??

THEN, McQueen happened...

Phew!

Also Valentino - lovely as ever.

Short & Sweet reviews are much less painful.

Model Obession of the Moment - Anna Selezneva

Glossy yet edgy hair, statement cheek bones, big green eyes, a glowing complexion and the token never-ending slim toned legs. Anna Selezneva doesn’t have the usual pale and interesting look like most models; She is a bronzed goddess with an unforgettable facial structure and a rock chick attitude to boot.
The Russian born model is definitely one to watch. Since the 23 year old broke into the modelling scene she has moved up the ladder at great speed. Debuting at Dries Van Noten’s Spring/Summer 2008 show, Anna has since opened Balmain three seasons in a row and walked for Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Valentino among others. On top of this she has starred in numerous Vogue shoots and in ad campaigns for Vera Wang, Calvin Klein and - following the footsteps of Coco Rocha - YSL. I am a huge Coco fan so most models can’t really contend with her, but I think Anna fits the bill with absolute perfection.

With Carine Roitfeld tipping her off as ‘the next Kate Moss’, this girl definitely has some strong backing and a great career ahead of her.

I’ve noticed her in shows in the past - she particularly stood out at Balmain with her golden glow and strong jaw line – but it’s only recently that I have really looked into her and started to follow her career.

The Spring/Summer 2010 shows are looking very promising for this rising model who is finally showing in New York. You can see from the backstage snaps and interviews that she has the personality as well as the pretty face to take her a very long way, with strong wit and a good sense of humour.

The above was a university project to come up with a column of our choice and write an example.
I might make this a regular blog feature?
In the meantime, here's a ton of images to be stunned by....
