Man Style Fall 2011: 60s/70s Stylings, UBER-fitted Double-Breasted/Cropped Jackets, Drop-crotch Pants and "High-Waters"...
The Menswear Collections for Fall/Winter 2011 are occurring as we speak in Europe. First Milan and now, they are happening in Paris. So, here are some of my "Nick Highlights" from the first stop: Milan. Want to know what you should be looking like--and the styles you should be wearing this Fall? Well, it's all below...get ready for Shrunken Fitted Jackets and MORE Drop-Crotch Pants.
Shall we begin:
Key Trends: Drop Crotch Pants; cropped pants; very fitted waistcoats (vests); over-hanging shirts; leather Tannery Worker aprons(?); worn jeans
Style.com's Tim Blanks ended his review on this note: "Lean, mean monochrome tailoring; skinny denims; judicious use of black leather detailing; hints of luxury in fur trims; and crystal-beaded waistcoats. It may just be enough to seduce their fan base, but today it felt like slim pickings for everyone else"

Here's a quote from Tim Blanks: "The clothes on the runway, though, were better suited to East End boys. Low-rise, multi-pocketed pants were slung off skinny suspenders. One model sported Freddy Krueger stripes and a trilby casually tossed back on his head. There was a spiffy edge to a checked, fitted, double-breasted jacket, while cropped, double-vented jackets and those pegged, low-slung pants created a boxy, bubble-butted silhouette that added beef to the already buff models"

Gucci Fall/Winter 2011:
Tim Blanks from Style.com said this: "The cornerstone of the collection was a lean two-button suit, its trouser flaring slightly over the shoe. With Faces-era Rod Stewart croaking over the sound system, the connection with a vintage Gucci moment was inescapable"
